How Outpost works

You keep product and checkout - we integrate with both. Turn on Modules for the surfaces you need, then assemble them into a Solution for your region and goal.

Payments

Two collection modes. As merchant of record, Outpost is the legal seller to the buyer. As a collection agent (some jurisdictions), Outpost collects without being merchant of record. In both modes Outpost receives the buyer's funds. When proceeds land in your account depends on jurisdiction and how the sale is set up - FX, fees, and chargebacks are set by contract. See Payments.

Taxes and other modules

Taxes can run as part of Payments, or as a separate product where only tax liability transfers to Outpost. Jurisdiction rules decide what else is required. Invoicing covers payment and refund invoices where enabled. Reporting is the output layer over the modules you turn on - proceeds and settlement data for reconciliation.

Solutions

A Solution is a known setup for region × goal × modules. It is a starting point, not fixed - we adjust for jurisdiction and your case. You pick the goal; we help choose modules. Browse Solutions or book a consultation.
