Merchant of Record Terms

These Terms apply when you purchase products or services through a checkout experience powered by Outpost.

Global – Consumer Purchases · Effective from 10 February 2026 · Version 1.0

These terms apply worldwide. Where the rules differ by region, that is marked in the text below.

Outpost is the seller

You are buying from Outpost, not from the shop you came from. Outpost charges your card, issues your receipt, and handles refunds — which is why Outpost, and not the shop, appears on your statement.

The Outpost entity responsible for your order is named at checkout and on your order confirmation, receipt or invoice. Which one it is depends on where you are buying from.

These Merchant of Record Terms (“Terms”) apply when you purchase products or services (“Products”) through a checkout experience powered by Outpost.

Outpost operates a resale model. Outpost purchases Products from independent vendors (“Vendors”) and resells those Products to customers in its own name and for its own account. Outpost is the contracting seller of record for your purchase, including for billing and applicable taxes.

1. Your Purchase

When you complete a purchase via an Outpost-operated checkout, you enter into a contract with Outpost as seller of the Product.

Outpost acquires the Product from the relevant Vendor and resells it to you in its own name. The applicable Outpost entity responsible for your transaction will be identified at checkout and in your order confirmation, receipt, or invoice.

By completing a purchase, you agree that payment is made to Outpost as seller of the Product and authorise Outpost to process the transaction in accordance with these Terms.

2. Products and Vendors

Products made available through Outpost are created, operated, and maintained by the relevant Vendor.

Vendors are responsible for:

  • the features, content, and functionality of their Products;
  • providing access to and ongoing operation of the Products;
  • customer support related to Product use; and
  • ensuring that their Products comply with applicable laws and regulations.

While Vendors are responsible for the functionality and operation of the Product itself, Outpost determines the commercial terms under which the Product is offered to you, including pricing presentation, billing structure, and transaction processing.

Outpost resells the Product to you in its own name and is responsible for the sale transaction. Vendors are not party to your purchase contract with Outpost.

Outpost is not responsible for the ongoing operation or technical performance of the Product except as required under applicable consumer protection laws.

3. Pricing and Availability

Prices, product descriptions, and availability are presented to you during checkout.

Prices may be displayed in different currencies or formats depending on your location. Currency conversion, rounding, or localisation may be applied to reflect local requirements, market practices, or technical constraints.

Prices for Products may change from time to time. Any price changes will apply only to future purchases or renewal periods and will not affect transactions that have already been completed.

4. Taxes

Where required by law, applicable taxes are calculated and charged in connection with your purchase.

Taxes are determined based on information available at checkout, including your location and the nature of the Product. You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide during checkout is accurate and complete. Any taxes included in the price or charged separately will be shown to you before you complete your purchase.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by Outpost’s authorised payment service providers using the payment methods made available during checkout.

Outpost or an affiliated entity may appear as the merchant name or descriptor on your bank, card, or other payment method statement.

Outpost may refuse, suspend, or reverse a transaction where reasonably necessary to comply with legal requirements, prevent fraud or misuse, or protect the integrity of its services.

Questions relating to billing, payments, or refunds should be directed to Outpost. Questions relating to the functionality or use of a Product should be directed to the Vendor.

6. Invoices and Receipts

After completing your purchase, you will receive an electronic receipt or invoice confirming your transaction.

Invoices or receipts are issued electronically and will include the information required by applicable law. The format and content of such documents may vary depending on your location and the nature of the transaction.

7. Subscriptions and Recurring Payments

Some Products may be offered on a subscription or other recurring billing basis.

Where applicable, the recurring price, billing frequency, renewal terms, and applicable cancellation options will be presented during checkout or in the Product description.

Unless cancelled in accordance with the applicable cancellation terms, subscriptions may renew automatically at the end of each billing period. It is your responsibility to manage and cancel subscriptions in accordance with the instructions provided.

8. Refunds, Cancellations, and Disputes

Refunds and cancellations are handled in accordance with the refund or cancellation policy presented during checkout, subject to any mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws. Payment disputes and chargebacks are handled through the relevant payment networks and financial institutions. Outpost cannot guarantee the outcome of any dispute or chargeback process.

Where required, refunds will be issued using the original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on the payment method and financial institution.

9. Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws. Where mandatory consumer rights apply, they will prevail over these Terms.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Outpost is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the checkout service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws.

10. International Transactions and Regional Information

Outpost supports transactions in multiple countries and regions. Transactions may not be available in all locations and may be restricted or declined where required by applicable law.

Depending on your location, certain aspects of a transaction — including pricing display, billing, invoicing, or tax treatment — may vary in order to comply with local legal, regulatory, or operational requirements. Any such variations will be reflected in the checkout experience or in your transaction documentation.

11. Relationship Between These Terms and Vendor Terms

These Terms govern the checkout, payment, billing, refunds, and transaction process.

Any terms provided by a Vendor apply solely to your access to and use of the Product itself. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and a Vendor’s terms, these Terms prevail with respect to payment, billing, refunds, and consumer rights.

12. Data Use

Information you provide during checkout may be processed by Outpost for the purpose of completing the transaction and may be shared with the relevant Vendor to enable delivery, access, and support of the Product, in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the Outpost entity responsible for your transaction, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection laws that apply in your country of residence.

14. General Provisions

Outpost may update these Terms from time to time. The version applicable to your purchase will be the version in effect at the time you complete the transaction.

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.
