B2B software

Why Outpost.

More deals signed abroad, payment in the currency you choose, and no new tax work for your finance team.

World map with the words “The world is your Outpost”
  1. Win more deals abroad

Provide your buyers with a local supplier, a local invoice and the option to pay in their own currency, so more deals get signed.

  2. Get paid in your own currency

Your buyers pay a local supplier in their own currency, and you choose the currency you’re paid in, without chasing tax receipts.

  3. Leave the tax to us

As your local reseller, we calculate, file and remit the tax on the sales we cover, and answer the tax office, so your finance team can sell into new countries without new tax work.

Challenge

What happens to an international deal today.

When a business abroad buys your software, the deal runs through your home company:

  • Procurement slows down

Your buyer has to onboard a supplier from abroad, often with extra approvals, a foreign contract and a currency contract.

  • The invoice can’t be booked

In many countries, a business can only pay and deduct an invoice in the local electronic format. A foreign invoice doesn’t qualify, so payment stalls.

  • Tax is taken from your payment

Your buyer withholds tax before paying you, so you receive less than you invoiced and spend the quarter chasing receipts.

  • The money crosses borders twice

It’s converted into your currency, with international wire fees and conversion spreads on the way.

The result: real demand abroad, running on a set-up that wasn’t built for it.

Sales

Win more deals abroad.

You get the outcome of a fully local operation in each country, without the cost or time of building one.

  • Sign with a local supplier

Your buyers sign with Outpost as the legal reseller in the countries we cover, so procurement can onboard a local supplier and move the deal forward.

  • A local invoice their finance team can book

Your buyers receive a local invoice in the format their country requires, so their accounts payable team can process it and pay you.

  • Pay in their own currency

Your buyers pay in local currency by bank transfer or card, with no international wire or currency contract, so paying you is as easy as paying a local supplier.

Invoicing

Local invoices, country by country.

A growing number of countries only accept invoices issued through the government’s electronic system by a locally registered supplier. As the local reseller, Outpost issues them for you.

  • Brazil: nota fiscal (NFS-e)

Brazilian businesses need an electronic service invoice from a supplier with a Brazilian tax ID (CNPJ) to book the expense. From 2027 these invoices also carry the new CBS and IBS tax fields. We issue them for each sale.

  • Mexico: CFDI

Mexican businesses need a CFDI, a digital invoice stamped through the tax office (SAT) system and issued by a supplier with a Mexican tax ID (RFC), to deduct the cost and reclaim the VAT. We issue them for each sale.

  • Taiwan: eGUI

Taiwanese businesses expect an electronic Government Uniform Invoice issued through the Ministry of Finance platform. We issue them for each sale.

Deductions

Withholding tax, explained.

When a business in Brazil, Mexico and many other countries pays a supplier abroad, it must deduct tax from the payment first. In Brazil that’s typically 15% of the invoice, before other taxes on imported services.

If your buyer deducts it,
you receive less than you invoiced and have to chase a tax receipt to claim it back.
If you gross up your price to cover it,
your offer looks more expensive than a local competitor’s.

With Outpost as the local reseller, your buyer pays a local supplier. There’s no foreign invoice to withhold from, and no receipts for you to chase.

Payments

Get paid in your currency

Your buyers pay a local supplier in their own currency, with lower costs on each international sale.

  • No withholding receipts to chase

Your buyers pay a local supplier, so you stop chasing tax receipts and arguing over short payments, deal by deal.

  • Lower the cost of your international sales

No international wires or correspondent fees, and you choose the currency you’re paid in.

  • Launch new countries within weeks

Outpost already acts as the legal reseller, so you can start selling in a new market within weeks, not the months a local set-up takes.

Tax

Leave the tax to us.

The rate isn’t the hard part. The liability is. As your local reseller, Outpost is the taxpayer on the sales we cover, so the tax office deals with us.

Two hands sorting through paperwork scattered across a floor
  • Registrations already in place

We’re already registered in the countries we cover, so you don’t have to be.

  • Thresholds monitored by us

We track where sales cross a tax threshold, so you don’t need to watch them or register when they do.

  • The right tax on each sale

We calculate the sales tax, VAT or GST on each sale, for business and consumer buyers alike, and file and remit it on time.

  • Audits answered for you

If the tax office contacts us about those sales, we answer, so audits don’t land on your team.

  • Outpost became the local seller in Brazil, so our customers’ banks see a domestic payment. The approval rate stopped being the thing I think about every week.

  • With Outpost we pay local card rates instead of cross-border ones, and we get paid out in the currency we asked for. Brazil went from a market we tolerated to one we invest in.
